I can't read music, can I still use the app?
You can use the app even if you can't read music. MyGroove is designed to help music enthusiasts of all experience levels improve their skills on their instrument. The app provides instructions, visuals, and audio to help you learn and play the songs. You will be guided by the artists and receive feedback on your game to support you in your learning process. The app is thus accessible to musicians of all skill levels, regardless of whether they can read music or not. Your hearing and intuition are fantastic sensory organs. Take a little time and try to follow your hearing. Many rock stars can't read music and are great musicians at the same time.
What is a pitch?
The term "pitch" refers to the pitch you play or sing on your instrument. When you play the instrument, the MyGroove app detects the pitch of your played notes. The app will then give you appropriate feedback depending on whether you played the pitch correctly or incorrectly. Learning how to pitch is crucial to developing a good ear and learning how to play an instrument properly. With regular practice, you will improve your skills and be able to play the right notes with the right pitch.
Is the guitar mission in the app only for a specific type of guitar?
The guitar missions can be used with any type of guitar, because the techniques and finger grips are the same for all guitar types. Whether you have an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar, MyGroove can help you improve your guitar skills quickly.
Why are there sometimes crosses instead of round notes in the notesheet when I learn a song?
For notes with sharps, only the rhythm of the song is practiced and not the pitches. This means that the app only checks if the notes are played at the right time, but not if they are also the right height.
